- The applicants have to register for the first year (year one) of a full-time undergraduate degree** at the university in October 2024-2025.
- UCAS applicants have to actively make Essex their firm choice by 12th July 2024. Candidates/applicants who become firm with Essex through rejection by their original firm choice selection elsewhere are not eligible to apply. Direct applicants have to accept their offer by 12th July 2024.
- It should be noted that the scholarship cannot be held in conjunction with any other scholarships available at the University of Essex.
- Applicants have to note that those who are successful in gaining the award should be available for promotional activities.
*Self-funded are those students who are receiving a repayable loan to fund their studies.
**Courses which lead to the award of a Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma of Higher Education, Integrated Masters (4 years).

Funding Availability for the University of Essex South Asia Scholarship
The scholarship will be provided as a discount on students’ tuition fees. The scholarship is available for the countries namely Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Maldives and Sri Lanka. Successful applicants will receive £4,000 per scholarship.
The scholarship will be offered as a reduction on the tuition fee that is payable upon registration at the university.
