Eligibility Criteria for KU International Admissions Scholarships 

  • Scholarships are awarded based on the applicant/student’s high school GPA.
  • These scholarships are conferred to freshmen students who enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours for both the fall and spring semesters.

Renewal of The University of Kansas International Admissions Scholarships

  • For the renewal of scholarships, students need to maintain a 3.0 KU GPA and be enrolled full-time.
  • Scholarships are offered/provided to students for their first Bachelor’s degree or eight semesters of enrollment, whichever comes first.

Fall 2024 Admission | First-year Freshman Scholarships (Financial Coverage)

KU Access 3.25-3.49 GPA $32,000 ($8,000 per year)

These scholarships will be provided/awarded to eligible students who are admitted to The University of Kansas (KU) for fall 2024 and going forward.

Deadline for KU International Admissions Scholarships

The final closing date (final deadline) for freshmen to apply to KU to receive fall 2024 scholarships is 1st May 2024.

Transfer Scholarships at KU

Students need to submit their complete application for admission to the University of Kansas with all required materials by the deadline of the scholarship to apply for the scholarship. Transfer students might get additional scholarships from their academic unit at the University of Kansas as well as the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship.

If you like to renew a KU International Admissions Scholarship each year, those who are transfer students have to maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and enroll in at least 27 credits at The University of Kansas.

Funding Available Under Transfer Scholarship

The applications for Fall 2024 transfer scholarships have opened from 1st January 2024. The priority deadline is 1st April 2024. Late applications could be considered depending on funds availability.

The funds available include $3,000 to $7,000 for transfer students who are admitted to the University of Kansas for the fall term. On part of the applicants, they are required to provide:

  • A CV or resume that consists of all extracurricular activities, service, leadership, and awards.
  • A 3.5 GPA or higher
  • One recommendation letter
