Category A Scholarships are tenable during full-time study in a program conducted at the university for an undergraduate degree program in a recipient’s first year of enrolment in a degree program. Those applicants who fall under category A scholarships, have to meet the following:
- They have done or be completing their university entrance qualification, and
- They have been studying at the secondary level in the year of application (or if there is a gap year, in the year instantly prior)
It is to be noted that category B scholarships are tenable during a full-time study done at the university in:
- The final year of a program for an honors degree program, or
- Any year of a study program for postgraduate education (degree) or a postgraduate diploma
The Base of Selection for Scholarship
Selection of the scholarship will be done on the following basis:
- Your academic achievements.
- Your involvement in cultural, sporting, and/or community activities, and
- Affinity with the objectives of the University of Canterbury Alumni South Island Chapter.
