This fellowship program offered by The British Academy is a new initiative. In this pilot phase of the programme, the academy is pleased to offer opportunities for global innovation fellowship award holders to embed themselves so that they can be based in the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace offices.
The purpose behind this is to have a mutually advantageous partnership between Carnegie and the fellowship award holder with each able to get benefits of fresh (novel) perspectives and widen their networks and reach.
The programme will enable the fellowship award holders to generate and strengthen new links across policy and academia by enabling knowledge mobilization and translation.

Eligibility Criteria for Fellowship Programme
It is to be noted that there are not any preconceived ideas regarding the disciplinary background of the award holder, but the holder of the award will be required to show a strong (solid) understanding of the related issues, including the applicable systematic challenges and policy landscape that it faces. Remember, language expertise where relevant is required but not necessary.

Commencement of Award
These fellowships (Global Innovation Fellowships) are expected to start by September 2024. You should also note that an earlier beginning date of March or April 2024 could be possible. In that case, the applicant will be required to explain how they can plan and manage their relocation on this speedy timeline.
Financial Benefits (Level of Award)
These are one-year fellowships, and the academy is offering up to three. They will be hosted in the office of Carnegie in the United States of America (California or Washington DC). The fellowships will be provided or offered as awards for up to £150,000 for the period of 12 months with full economic costing at 80%.
