About the IMPRS (Max Planck Research Schools) Initiative
IMPRS works with the purpose of supporting and promoting junior scientists in PhD (doctoral) phase. Max Planck Society along with the German Rectors’ Conference launched this initiative in 1999. Eligibility Criteria
The institute seeks highly qualified, exceptional and motivated candidates for this PhD position who wish to tackle fundamental questions in plant biology by using computational and experimental approaches.
The applicants should possess strong academic track record and they must hold or going to earn an MSc or its equivalent degree in biochemistry, biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, physics, chemistry, (applied) mathematics or related fields.
Requirements
For Max Planck Institute PhD Scholarship, there are requirements to be fulfilled such as the applicants should posses a Master or equivalent degree in a field relevant to institute’s programme. There are exceptional cases, in which the institute might accept students with an exceptional BSc (first class honors, 4 years degree) who like to attend extra courses and seminars during their first year. The medium of instruction is English, thus, the applicants are required to have good knowledge of English. It is required in both interview and later for the programme. It is suggested to support your application with English test scores such as IELTS, TOFEL or other tests. Financial Coverage
