- English proficiency is required. Those applicants whose native language is English or the ones who have graduated from an English-taught degree program like undergraduate or above are not required to produce/provide English test scores. Those candidates who are from the Chinese regions of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan (HMT) need to provide an English test score even if they have obtained a degree or attended an institution/university where the medium of instruction was English. If the students from these regions do not provide scores on the English proficiency test, they will have to take English as a second language after their enrollment at Peking University. For applicants from the Chinese Mainland, the English proficiency test score (report) is compulsory.
* Peking University does not allow students to be enrolled in other degree programs while they study at the university.
