Eligibility Criteria for the University of the Year Dean’s Scholarship
- To qualify for the award, the applicants must be classified as international, self-funding students paying the international tuition fees rate
- They must possess an offer to study a full-time program conducted at one of the campuses of the university in Northern Ireland (Coleraine, Belfast, or Derry~Londonderry), starting in September 2025. The applicants must meet all academic and/or English language requirements as stated in their offer letter
- Remember, those applying to MBBS, part-time or eLearning programs, or to programs conducted at the university’s branch campuses, such as Birmingham, London, or Manchester, are not eligible to apply for this scholarship
- It should be noted that these combined scholarships will apply to the first year of undergraduate study only. The scholarships are not renewable for the following years

Financial Coverage
As international Ulster University students joining the September 2025 session, candidates will automatically receive a £1,500 tuition fee discount, on top of the university’s existing £2,000 International Scholarship. Thus, there will be a total reduction of £3,500 towards students’ studies.
Those candidates who apply to certain programs of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences could be eligible for an increased scholarship worth £2,200. This brings their total funding possible reduction to £4,200.
