UNHCR 2025 UNICORE Masters Scholarship in Italy – Details
The students will be chosen to start degree courses in September 2025. Universities provide scholarships to refugee students who are present in India, Malawi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Namibia, Mozambique, Tanzania, South Africa, Zambia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. Remember, the procedure of selection for admission will be done by and will be the sole responsibility of the individual universities.

Interested candidates are advised to go through the available courses at the eligible participating universities in Italy for this scholarship opportunity. Students may apply to a maximum of two universities.
According to the available information on the official announcement, 37 universities are participating in the project of UNICORE 2025, whereas 67 places are available for students. Additionally, 412 courses are offered.
Eligibility Criteria for the University Corridors for Refugees UNICORE 7.0
As mentioned earlier, UNHCR is not responsible for the selection and admission process of the candidates, as this is all done by individual universities. Since the requirements may vary, the interested candidates are strongly advised to go through the individual call for applications issued by the universities.
- The applicants should currently reside in India, Malawi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Namibia, Mozambique, Tanzania, South Africa, Zambia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. They have been recognized as refugee status in these countries in collaboration with UNHCR.
- They must possess a qualification valid for admission to the selected second cycle degree program.
- They have a GPA of a minimum of 3.0 according to the country of graduation tertiary education grading system or the GPA should be equivalent to the comparable table issued by the Italian Ministry of Education.
- The applicant must hold a degree that has been taken/earned in or after 2020 and no later than the call deadline (the applicant should note that there are some universities which do not apply a time limit for graduation, thus, they should refer to individual call for applications).
- They should meet the specific admission requirements of the second cycle degree program.
- They have never been enrolled before in a degree program at any of the participating Italian universities.
- Applicants must be proficient in the English language.

Financial Benefits Under UNHCR 2025 UNICORE Masters Scholarship in Italy
- Chosen students will start degree programs in September 2025. They will be exempted from tuition fees at the participating Italian universities.
- They will receive financial support for plane tickets.
- They will be offered visa-related expenses.
