Brief Details Regarding the Padua International Excellence Scholarship
Under this scholarship program, there are 62 scholarships offered to highly exceptional international students who enroll in English-taught degree programs at the University of Padua. The Excellence Scholarship program is highly selective. Therefore, only applicants showing the highest achievements and academic/school records could be awarded the scholarship.
Recipients of the scholarship will be expected to fulfill an ambassadorial role and represent the university at a number of events.

Duration of the Scholarship
- For master’s degree programs, 2 continuous years
- For bachelor’s and single-cycle degree programs, 3 continuous years
Note: After the above duration (mentioned above), the beneficiaries (scholarship recipients) will be required to cover their own expenses, along with tuition fees, until graduation.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
Interested candidates should check the eligibility before applying. And they should also check the selection criteria.
Eligibility – Highly outstanding prospective international students from all parts of the world wishing to enroll in one of the University of Padua bachelor’s or master’s degree programs entirely held in English.
Selection – The University of Padua’s academic committee of each degree program shortlists eligible candidates and confers the scholarships to the most deserving applicants, based on their academic excellence in their field of study, quality, and records from their previous learning.

Financial Benefits of the Padua International Excellence Scholarships
Successful candidates will receive a fee waiver plus €8,000 scholarship (gross amount) per academic year. The successful candidates are only required to pay the admission fee each year, corresponding to the regional tax and marca da bollo.
If the applicants are offered a Padua International Excellence Scholarship, they will receive the scholarship offer, indicating the process and the closing date to accept it. Successful recipients must not benefit from other grants. They must also comply with the conditions to finalize their enrolment at the university. The scholarship amount will be paid in 2 installments of €4,000 (gross amount) each academic year.
How to Apply for the Padua International Excellence Scholarship?
If the candidates/applicants meet the following requirements, they can be considered for the selection process under penalty of exclusion.
- They should not hold an Italian citizenship (except for dual citizenship, including Italian)
- They should hold a non-Italian foreign secondary school diploma (for bachelor’s or single-cycle degree applicants) or a non-Italian bachelor’s degree (for master’s degree applicants), allowing admission to the Italian university system
- They must not live in Italy
- They should apply to one or more of the degree programs (mentioned above), which are taught in English completely at the university (University of Padua). It must be noted that they can apply up to three degree programs

Note: If the applicants meet these requirements, they will be considered automatically for the selection process. There is no need to submit a separate application or additional documents besides those required to apply for the chosen degree programs.
