For students seeking fully funded internships abroad, there is a significant opportunity available in Saudi Arabia. KAUST Visiting Student Research Program (VSRP) – Details
Under the KAUST VSRP Internship 2026, the internships are flexible that allowing the students to select their beginning and end dates at any point throughout the year. The coverage will be offered for tuition fees, return flights, housing, and will offer a monthly stipend for living expenses.

While being there, the interns will collaborate with popular faculty in state-of-the-art facilities and also contribute to real-world research. The duration of the internship program is 3 to 6 months.
Available Internship Projects Under KAUST VSRP Internship 2026
Interested students can apply for the VSRP Internship on the project page that lists more than 100 active projects spanning STEM disciplines. Each project consists of information on the project nature, the recommended student background, and a set of desired research outcomes. All projects are relevant to KAUST’s 17 STEM degree programs.
Eligibility Criteria for KAUST Visiting Student Research Program (VSRP)
- All nationalities are welcome
- Undergraduate students in their 3rd year or above, and master’s students can apply
- At least a 3.5/4.0 GPA is required
- Candidates must be proficient in the English language, thus, official exam scores could be requested upon application evaluation
Note: KAUST students, current PhD students, or KAUST alumni are not eligible to apply.
Financial Coverage
It is a fully funded internship program that provides the following coverage:
- Private bedroom/bathroom
- USD$1000 monthly stipend
- Airfare to KAUST and return tickets
- Social and cultural activities
- Access to core laboratories, plus community facilities and major research
