The first ISFiT festival was conducted way back in 1990, and ever since, people from all parts of the world have gathered in Trondheim every other year in unison. The next ISFiT festival is gearing up to take place from the 13^th to the 23^rd of March 2025. The best part of this student festival is that each festival identifies a different theme, and the upcoming festival’s theme is POWER.

Applications are welcome for the ISFiT 2025. Since its inception in 1990, the festival has brought together students from various cultural and national backgrounds, fostering dialogue and connection through stimulating discussions on significant world issues.

Interested students are invited to join ISFiT from March 13^th to 23^rd 2025 in Norway where like-minded students from all parts of the globe will gather to engage, learn, and inspire one another.

Participation in this festival is more than just attending concerts and events rather than attendance at this festival means actively contributing your thoughts, perspectives, and experiences to the discussions and debates that shape the festival’s understanding of the theme of POWER.

Eligibility Criteria for the International Student Festival in Trondheim

All nationalities are eligible.
The applicants are required to be actively enrolled in a study program during the study year 2024-25. This should be a university program or one of the equivalent levels.
There is no need to submit the IELTS or English language proficiency test scores.

Funding Availability

ISFiT 2025 offers participants food and accommodation while they attend the festival. Participants may also apply for additional funds if they need so to attend the festival. Remember, the participants will need to pay for their travel fare, but once they are at the festival, the coverage for the food and accommodation will be provided (as mentioned earlier).

ISFiT does not have the funds to support every candidate, so you should only apply for financial support if you need to be able to participate in the festival. ISFiT has dedicated volunteers out there to allocate funds to the participants who require them, so you can apply however much you require to attend the festival. Financial support can be requested when filling out the application. There is no documentation required at that stage. If you are chosen, you will be contacted for more details.
