Coming back to the scholarship in question, Dalarna University awards partial scholarships every year to a number of its new international students (who are fee-paying) enrolled in master’s degrees. The scholarships are available to those who have proven themselves to be exceptional in their endeavors.
Eligibility Criteria
If you would like to apply and be considered for the opportunity, you need to meet the Dalarna University Scholarship for international students requirements.
- The university provides all students having exceptional academic results with a reduction in their tuition fees for continued studies at Dalarna University. If you like to qualify for the reduction in tuition fees. The eligibility requirements are mentioned ahead.
- The applicants must have studied one semester (master’s level) or two semesters (bachelor’s level) within a degree program taught on campus at Dalarna University.
- They must be continuing the same degree program for a minimum of one more semester of full-time study.
- The candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% results of VG or a mix of 5 and 4, or a mix of A and B depending on the grading scale used. It must be noted that no courses can have final results lower than a 3 or C.
- By the time the decision of the scholarship is made, the applicants must have successfully completed all credits from the first semester/year.
- The candidates/applicants must be verified as ‘exceptional/outstanding’ by the faculty in their program.
Scholarship Amount (Dalarna University Scholarship for International Students)
Successful students will receive the scholarship in terms of a direct reduction in their tuition fees that will cover between 10% and 50% of their total tuition fees. The amount awarded will automatically be deducted in set amounts each semester throughout the program’s duration.
The scholarship value is 10 000 SEK tuition-fee waiver for each remaining semester of full-time studies in the program the students are presently studying. It must be noted that the applications for the scholarship opportunity need to be submitted no later than three weeks before the commencement of the new semester. If the students are finishing their first semester/first year of studies, their program manager will share a link to the application for the scholarship.

Deadline to Submit the Applications
It must be noted that the scholarship (tuition fee waivers) is available only for studying a master’s degree offered on-campus. Interested students only need to apply once for their scholarship, and they do this before the commencement of their program.
Note: For the autumn 2025 semester, applications for scholarships will open on 1st February 2025.
